A Twenty-five Year Thing

For the longest time, Jen and I weren't really sure what we wanted to do to celebrate 25 years of  being husband and wife.  On one hand, it's something that we've appreciated, more often than not, throughout the duration; on the other, it's a special time, for many reasons aside from the chronological marker, and is special.  In the end, we decided, as we often do, on what is essentially a whim, to go see the Grand Canyon.  Jen has never seen it, and it had been a long time since I had.  What sealed the deal was the opportunity to arrive by train, via the Grand Canyon Railway.

Can't really say no to that.

We also made plans to stop at a few places along the way:  Carlsbad Caverns, Albuquerque Old Town (to see Jewells), and maybe the Petrified Forest.  Oh, and Bearizona.  Reader, you have no idea how much childlike joy the mere name of this place has given Jen.  Her laughter and happiness is to me a treasure no words can convey.
